More about the Guest Speaker:

I have a teaching background and experience in both mainstream and special education and I’m a qualified reflexologist, dedicating much of my career to supporting children and adults with high levels of anxiety, learning difficulties, learning disabilities, communication differences and diverse needs, blending my experience of education and reflexology.

Until very recently I provided weekly reflexology therapy sessions in a special school where I was a valued member of the multidisciplinary team for more than 12 years.

I still run a small private mobile reflexology practice, but I now dedicate more time to supporting reflexologists who want to expand their practice into educational and care settings and work to support wellbeing within their local community with CPD for reflexologists available around the globe later in 2025 through a new distance learning programme.

Additionally, I am proud to continue to develop the annual Functional Reflex Therapy Global Project, which supports special and inclusive schools in Zambia. Please do visit the global project page to enjoy some short videos giving a flavour of the work, raising awareness to the principles of reflexology and how we can extend our support in many environments as well qualified reflexologists.

I am the very proud recipient of three wonderful awards:

  • 2016 the Winner of the Association of Reflexologists Award for Excellence and Innovation in Reflexology
  • 2017 the Winner of the Federation of Holistic Therapists Tutor of the Year
  • 2019 A Humanitarian Award from the International Council of Reflexologists for the supportive work of the FRT Global Project Zambia.

More about the Guest Speaker:

Pip is an experienced herbalist and plant spirit medicine healer, a writer and a teacher, living in North Shropshire UK, on the border with Wales.

For 37 years she has worked as a medical herbalist and natural healer, assisting very many people.

She is also an experienced teacher of adults, having introduced many people over the years to the joys of herbal medicine, to anatomy and physiology, as well as Reiki, plant spirit medicine and other forms of healing.

She has written a few books, of particular interest here are Holistic Anatomy – an integrative guide to the human body (2010 NAB), and Deeply Holistic (2018 NAB). Both of these are now available as audiobooks – Pip is reading Holistic Anatomy herself (that was fun to do!). Another favorite book is Touched By Nature - Plant Spirit Medicine Journeys (Aeon 2019), full of stories about this medicine that is so close to her heart.

She now lives and practises in North Shropshire and also offers remote consultation and treatment to people not able to attend in person.

We are also happy to hear from anyone wanting to share their skills and from our learners and graduates who have suggestions for guest speakers.

Please note: You will be booking directly with the guest speaker and not the Integrated Reflexology Consortium, so will be agreeing to their terms and conditions not those of IRC.
