The IRC is a collaboration of the leading reflexology training schools/establishments in England, offering the Level 5 Diploma in Practitioner Reflexology. This qualification is fully regulated by OFQUAL, and awarded by Agored Cymru, who have been successfully awarding this qualification since its inception in 2012. The IRC Level 5 centres are Gateway Schools to the Association of Reflexologists, meaning that our course immediately qualifies you for AOR membership. Please note that our qualification is the only Level 5 reflexology qualification accepted for membership by the Association of Reflexologists.
The Level 5 Diploma in Practitioner Reflexology is allied to the Nursing and Medicine sector, so we welcome those with medical backgrounds as well as everyone from all walks of life who are interested in helping people with this popular hands-on therapy.
In March 2023 the IRC became the new registered centre for the Agored Cymru Level 5 Diploma in Practitioner Reflexology and thoroughly revised and updated all the content to ensure the course is comprehensive and relevant for today's professional clinical reflexologist. This exciting core content is taught across all IRC partner training centres, and all assessments are standardised, meaning that the elements required to achieve and pass your qualification are consistent wherever you train. In addition to the core content, individual partner centres offer extra content based on the specialist knowledge and expertise of the tutor/s. We are proud to be offering this completely new and updated Level 5 reflexology training for anyone looking to learn different, varied and exciting practical skills, alongside valuable practitioner skills, to help support any client with their health and wellbeing throughout their lives.
It can be confusing when deciding on the right reflexology course, which is why the IRC only offer a qualification that is regulated by Ofqual (The Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation) and QW (Qualifications Wales).
Studying at Level 5 means that the standard of work required is at Foundation Degree level (2nd year of a university Bachelor’s degree) meaning that the depth and breadth of the course ensures you are fully confident and competent when you graduate as a professional “Clinical Reflexologist”.
It is not necessary to have studied reflexology or anatomy, physiology and pathology prior to embarking on this Level 5 course, so it is therefore suitable for complete beginners as well as those who have previous holistic therapy training and those who have studied at Level 3 wishing to further develop their skills and learning.
